BOMBYX is the scientific name of the Bombyx genus, which includes several species, the best known of which is Bombyx mori (Bombyx of the mulberry tree), whose caterpillar is called a silkworm and is used in sericulture.

Founded by Moraima Gaetmank, Mathieu Mercier and Pascal Goblot, BOMBYX-MAMA is a collection of silk rectangles conceived and designed by artists. Each edition consists of 200 copies numbered from 1 to 200 and 26 hand-rolled copies classified from A to Z with the artist's signature.

Each year, between 4 and 6 editions are published.

Mathieu Mercier is the artistic director of the collection.
